I'm Quail. I come from the land 'UP - OVER', from LA to Detroit to Cleveland. I am of mixed origins and ancestry, with some Native American blood I am proud to say. I am also very happy now to be able to call myself an Australian.

My tattooing career began in Germany in 1993 with Tom Warncke, we are self taught *(with a healthy background in Hygiene and Sterilization, augmented regularly over the years with courses, seminars and licensing on three continents). The two of us formed Holistic Tattu and, after a stint in Cleveland Ohio to bring us up to speed, we opened our first and second studios in Bergedorf, a suburb of Hamburg back in Germany.

I have been decorating skin here on the Gold Coast since 2004, beginning at Borderline in Burleigh. I spent a few years, in between, tattooing in Coolangatta as that's where I surf regularly *(usually with the Table of Knowledge Boardriders and the Tweed Coast Old Mal Club). But I'm back at Borderline again with Tim and his crew of talented artists.

I love to do Traditional Tribal styles; culturally and geographically indigenous designs and patterns, my favorite being the Native American Haida Styles. Polynesian, Islander, Aboriginal and Celtic designs, and patterns of all sorts are right up my alley, the more exact in detail the better. Mostly I just love to tattoo.

Whatever your chosen motif or the meaning behind it, my ultimate goal is to work with you to discover what it is that you really want to express, to help you understand and enjoy the process, and bring your imagination, and mine, to life.
