Borderline Tattoos was originally owned and operated by one of Australia's most respected artists, Paul Braniff.
Borderline Tattoos was the first professional tattoo studio to be established on the Gold Coast and was originally located on the QLD/NSW border (hence the name). For over two decades, Borderline Tattoos has been owned by award winning artist Tim Ebbels, a large scale Japanese tattoo and black and grey realism specialist, who apprenticed under Paul for many years learning the traditional values of creating lasting tattoos and the respect being a mainstay in the industry commands.
The studio is now based in the heart of beautiful Burleigh Heads.
Borderline Tattoos is a well respected, high class tattoo studio and home to some of Australia's most gifted artists. The studio is a unique space incorporating an international tattoo art gallery. Be inspired by the vast collection of art that we have showcased on our walls - an eclectic collection that Tim has acquired over 25 years.
